Dr. Elias Shokati Asl

Elias Shokati Asl was born in Ardabil, Iran, in 1990. He received the B.Sc., the M.Sc., and the Ph.D. degrees in electrical power engineering with first class honors from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Tabriz, Tabriz, Iran, in 2012, 2015 and 2020, respectively.
Dr. Shokati Asl has collaborated with the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili by teaching various courses and conducting research projects from 2017 to 2023. Since January 2025, he has joined the Solar Energy Research Group, Department of Energy, Materials and Energy Research Center (MERC), Iran as a faculty member with the rank of Assistant Professor.
Dr. Shokati Asl is the author and co-author of several journal and conference papers. He received the Education Prize once and Research Prize twice from the National Elites Foundation, Iran in 2014, 2016 and 2017, respectively. Moreover, he received the Elite Student Award and Dr. Ali Polad Award from the University of Tabriz in 2016 and 2017, respectively. In 2024, He won the Recruitment Award from the National Elites Foundation. His research interests include analysis and design of power electronic converters, renewable energy systems, and electrical energy hybrid systems.
